About the project
A commercial development, Bernard Court is a contemporary five-storey building comprising four floors of lettable open plan office space, as well as storage space and utilitiy facilities.
The design responds to the client’s desire for a contemporary building, which portrays their mission to proffer lifestyle solutions for modern living to their upscale target market.
With a GIA of 2,570 m2, the building is sub-divided into two distinct zones that have separate circulation cores and a ground floor reception lobby.
The deep eaves and cantlevers along with the solar control glazing across the south facing walls enhance the thermal performance of the building.

About the project
This 1,400 capacity project in eastern Nigeria sits on a gently sloped site over looking surrounding hills and vegetation. The design idea was to create an organic form with a feeling of spaciousness and connection to nature
Supported by columns that mimic the surrounding vegetation, the upper level events space transitions to an open green terrace that allow occupants enjoy opulent views of the picturesque backdrop of hills and vegetation.
Guided by energy conservation goals,the building is flooded by natural light from thermal glazing on 3 cardinal facades while the solar paneled roof provides an alternative source of sustainable energy.
